Sandrina Teixeira, a lecturer at ISCAP and researcher at CEOS.PP, is the coordinator of the NATO PUBLIC DIPLOMACY PROGRAMMES project in Portugal. Under the theme ‘Disinformation through images in times of war: From celluloid to Artificial Intelligence’, the project is the result of a partnership between the Complutense University of Madrid and ISCAP / CEOS.PP.
On 30 September and 1 October 2024, the Faculty of Information Sciences at the Complutense University of Madrid brought together European experts and teachers in the field of disinformation, focusing on the impact of image manipulation, Deeepfakes, AI, social networks and journalistic disinformation.
The event was aimed at teachers and students of journalism and communication, with the aim of enabling them to recognise and combat disinformation. On 27 November, the second part of this project will take place at ISCAP, bringing together experts and lecturers who will focus on disinformation issues, namely the analysis of fake news, fact-checking and combating disinformation in civil society.
The event's programme will be presented shortly.
