Alexandra Albuquerque and Rui Bertuzi, deputy directors of CEOS.PP, attended the RIS3T Forum. The event was a platform for the public dissemination of the RIS3T update study and the promotion of a debate on the challenges and priorities in terms of intelligent specialisation for the Galicia - Northern Portugal Euroregion.
The Norte Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR NORTE), the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) and the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation Galicia - Norte de Portugal (GNP, EGTC) recently concluded the process of drawing up the study to update the Intelligent Cross-Border Specialisation Strategy of the Galicia - Norte de Portugal Euroregion for 2021-27 (RIS3T).
The general aim of this strategy is to promote a coordinated approach between the two regions that will enable public innovation policies in the Euroregion to be more effective and have a greater impact, specifically by increasing the scientific, technological and entrepreneurial critical mass, strengthening synergies and complementarities between different sources of funding and attracting more centrally managed funds at European level for R&D and innovation.
The event took place on 13 December at the Casa das Artes in Arcos de Valdevez.
