About the Event
The 12th edition of the European Workshop on Applied Cultural Economics (EWACE), which takes place from 9 to 11 September at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto (FEP), is supported by CEOS.PP and the Faculty of Business Sciences of Porto – FCEP (the new name for ISCAP).
The workshop brings together researchers to discuss applied research in the economics of culture, with a particular focus on the use of quantitative methods. The programme includes presentations and discussions of papers on various areas of the economics of culture, ranging from the organisation and functioning of cultural markets and artists’ working conditions to cultural participation, the valuation of art, creativity and the economic effects of cultural activities.
By joining EWACE, CEOS.PP is taking part in a forum where research in the Economics of Culture moves beyond the page and enters the public debate, through the presentation and discussion of new work.
The event begins on 9 September with a welcome session, followed by two days of presentations and discussions of research papers, and will be conducted in English.
