Integrated reporting: developing an injustice assessment framework and a research agenda

A FCEP/UTP — Faculdade de Ciências Empresariais da Universidade Técnica do Porto (nova designação do ISCAP/IPP), em colaboração com o CEOS.PP, a UPCA (CICF) e o ISCA-UA, promove um Research Seminar com a participação da Professora Valentina Beretta, da University of Pavia (Itália).

A iniciativa decorre no dia 17 de setembro, às 14h30, na FCEP/UTP (ISCAP), e será dedicada ao tema Integrated reporting: developing an injustice assessment framework and a research agenda. No dia 18 de setembro, a convidada orienta também a sessão Sustainability Reporting as a field of research: Critical Perspectives on Accountability and Inclusion, no âmbito do Programa Doutoral em Contabilidade do UPCA & ISCA-UA.

As sessões constituem uma oportunidade de partilha e discussão científica em torno do integrated reporting, com particular enfoque no desenvolvimento de um quadro de avaliação da injustiça e na definição de uma agenda de investigação nesta área. A presença da investigadora da University of Pavia contribuirá para o reforço do diálogo académico e científico entre instituições de ensino superior e para a promoção da colaboração em investigação.

Os eventos resultam de uma iniciativa conjunta entre a FCEP/UTP, o CEOS.PP, a UPCA (CICF) e o ISCA-UA, refletindo o compromisso destas instituições com a internacionalização, a cooperação científica e a criação de oportunidades de intercâmbio de conhecimento.

About the speaker:

Valentina Beretta is a Senior Researcher at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pavia. She is a Professor of “Sustainability Reporting, Governance and Ethics” and “Business Administration”. Her research focuses on corporate reporting, sustainability disclosure, health technology assessment, and healthcare management. She is one of the founders and proposing members  Study Group “Equità e inclusione in contabilità, controllo di gestione, governance e revisione aziendale” (EIREA) of SIDREA (Società Italiana dei Docenti di Ragioneria e di Economia Aziendale). She co-coordinates the EU-funded project “DIGital Skills for Transformative Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship (DIGI-ME)” and contributed to various national and international projects. She has been a visiting scholar at several EU and non-EU universities and institutions. Her research has been published in journals such as,  Accounting, Auditing & Accountability Journal, Social Responsibility Journal, Business Strategy and the Environment, Accounting & Finance, and Meditari Accountancy Research. Currently, Valentina is guest editor for the Special Issue on "Sustainability Education: Preparing Future Leaders for a Better World" of Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal; for the Special Issue on "Are Equity and Inclusion achievable? How equity and inclusion are understood, operate and develop in accounting" of Meditari Accountancy Research; as well as for the Special Issue on "The role of social capital in knowledge management" of  VINE Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems.
