About the Event

Abimael Ortiz Barros and William Rodrigo, visiting researchers at CEOS.PP, will lead the seminar ‘Research Methodologies. From Idea to Practice: Demystifying the Scientific Process’ on 19 March at 11.30 am.


The event is part of the MIACE module of the Bachelor’s Degree in Business Communication and will take place in room 121-1 at ISCAP.


Guest Speakers:

Abimael Ortiz Barros. PhD candidate in Information Management at UFPR (Brazil) and visiting researcher at ISCAP/P.PORTO (Portugal). He investigates ICT-mediated collaborative dynamics in Brazil–Portugal innovation ecosystems. He is a Regional Innovation Agent (Araucária Foundation/SETI-PR) and a consultant, working in the areas of indicators, ecosystem governance and knowledge transfer. This session aims to contribute to clarifying the scientific research process, exploring the transition from the formulation of ideas to their implementation in research projects, as well as the main challenges and opportunities associated with the scientific journey.


William Rodrigo Joanico. PhD candidate in Information Management at UFPR (Brazil) and visiting researcher at ISCAP/P.PORTO. He conducts research in the areas of Knowledge Management, Absorptive Capacity and Socio-technical Dynamics in Brazil–Portugal innovation ecosystems. He is a Regional Innovation Agent (Araucária Foundation/SETI-PR) and a consultant, working on indicators, governance and knowledge transfer.
