Tiago Cardão-Pito, Assistant Professor at ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management (University of Lisbon) and Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Management Studies, will lead the webinar Why financial economics cannot explain financial management because it misunderstands accounting, as part of the ISCAP/IPP Accounting Webinar Series.

Guest Speaker:

Tiago Cartão-Pito has been invited as a lecturer for several academic programmes, including those at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Portugal (MIT Portugal) and the National Institute of Administration (INA), responsible for training senior public administration officials. He also has experience outside academia, having worked at the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration and the Ministry of Health, as well as in the private sector. The webinar is part of the curriculum of the Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Administration; Bachelor's Degree in Consulting and Translation; Bachelor's Degree in Business Communication; Master's Degree in Accounting and Finance; Master's Degree in Business Finance; Master's Degree in Auditing and Master's Degree in Management and Legal-Business Regime of the Social Economy. The event is aimed at students, teachers and researchers in the field of Accounting and is part of the activities developed by CEOS.PP.
