Assistant Researcher
Adalberto Fernandes is an Assistant Researcher (PhD in Philosophy, MA in Communication, MA in Bio-Ethics, BA in Communication). He works in the fields of communication, media theory, philosophy, technology, ethics, art, culture, science, health and environmental communication, political communication, digital communication, Artificial Intelligence, platforms, social media, discourse analysis, visual analysis, and Foucault Studies. His work has been published in the indexed journals “Somatechnics”, “Frontiers in Communication”, “Journalism Practice”, “Journal of Science Communication”, “Javnost - The Public”, or “Social Anthropology”, and featured in book chapters in Routledge, Springer, Palgrave Macmillan, Wiley-Blackwell, and Bloomsbury. He did his post-doc at the University of Algarve, and was a researcher of the FCT-funded project CEMA – “Censorship(s): an analytic model of censorial processes” at the NOVA University of Lisbon.
