Ana Rita Carvalho
Junior Researcher
PhD student in Cultural Studies at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD), she holds a Master’s degree (2018) and a Bachelor’s degree (2015) in Communication Studies, specialising in Journalism. She conducts research in the field of cultural studies, focusing on the relationships between the creative industries, communication, heritage and sustainability in contemporary culture. Ana Rita Carvalho currently works as Management Adviser at CEOS.PP / ISCAP, where she is responsible for institutional and scientific communication. She is also a temporary member of CEOS.PP and CICANT. Previously, she worked with ESAD Matosinhos/esad—idea (2017–2024) in the Department of Public Relations and Communication. Her interests also extend to photography, graphic design, audiovisual production and writing as practices of mediation and the construction of scientific and cultural languages. Other highlights of her professional career include internships at Jornal de Notícias (2016) and Público (2017).
