Joana Barbedo e Silva

Junior Researcher

Joana Barbedo e Silva is a PhD student in Communication and Information Sciences at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (FLUP). She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences – Media and Journalism Studies, a postgraduate qualification in Local Authority Communication, and a Bachelor’s degree in History. Her research focuses on institutional and strategic communication, sports communication and football. She works as a Senior Specialist in the Office of the President at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration of Porto (ISCAP). She previously worked as a journalist for the sports newspaper *O JOGO*, an experience which has strengthened her connection to sports communication. Previously, she worked at Porto City Council and the Rio Tinto Parish Council, in the areas of communication and cultural heritage. She participates in national and international academic events.
