Maria José Angélico Gonçalves holds a PhD from the University of Vigo in Software Engineering based on Reusable Components Applications in Human-Machine Interfaces, with an outstanding distinction "cum laude", a Master of Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), 1996, and a Bachelor of Computer Science / Applied Mathematics, Portucalense University, 1988. She is an associate professor of Information Systems at the Porto Accounting and Business School and a full member at CEOS.PP (Centre for Organisational and Social Studies of P.PORTO), and she is a collaborator of the OSEAN Centre. Her main research interests are Information Systems, Knowledge Management, Education, and Applied Technologies. She has organised several scientific events and has many publications (including books, edited books, book chapters, journal articles, and publications in refereed conference proceedings). She participates in several funded projects. She is a member of different international committees and associations.
