Carla Oliveira

Carla Sofia Varelas Oliveira is a PhD student in Communication at the University of Vigo since 2024. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Management (2012) and a Bachelor’s degree in Executive Secretarial Studies (2009) from the University of Aveiro, and was awarded the title of Specialist in Administrative Secretarial Studies (2023). Having begun her teaching career in 2012, she currently works as a Visiting Lecturer at the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra. Her research focuses on Generative AI and its impact on secretarial functions and organisational communication, and she has presented several papers at international conferences. She is involved in the technical development of projects funded by the ERC, FCT and DGES. She also serves as a scientific reviewer for international conferences.
