Fernanda Alberto
Associate Researcher
Fernanda Alberto is an associate professor at ISCAC Coimbra Business School, Polytechnic of Coimbra. She holds a European PhD in Accounting and Business Organisation from the Autonomous University of Madrid, a Master of Accounting and Auditing from the Aberta University, and a Bachelor of Management Control from ISCAC.
She is the (co)author of several articles published in specialised journals, some of them indexed ISI / SCOPUS. She organised at ISCAC four international congresses (three of them as president of the organisation committee). She is regularly member of scientific committees of several international scientific congresses and reviews ad-hoc articles for different journals. She participated as a PhD fellow in a European project, as a research fellow in two Spanish projects, and as a researcher in a national project, all of them with funding. Since 2011, she integrated different external assessment committees, as president or member, to evaluate higher education courses, in collaboration with A3ES.
Her main interesting areas of research are: Business Combinations; Corporate Reporting; Enforcement; High Education; Management Control; Non-Financial Information; IAS/IFRS Standards; and Sustainability.
