Fernando Paulo Belfo has been a professor at the Coimbra Business School for more than 30 years, where he has lecture and been responsible for several course units, especially in the area of Information Systems. He has also professional experience in the Information and Communication Technology and Management fields, participating in projects at several firms of different sizes. He received a Bachelor of Electrotechnical Engineering, with a specialisation in Informatics, from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra, Portugal. He holds a Master of Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra, Portugal and he holds a PhD of Philosophy in Information Systems and Technology from the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, Guimarães, Portugal. His main research interests are the Alignment between Business and Information Technology, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD), Knowledge Management, Business Process Management (BPM), IT Project Management, People & Human Factors in IT and Technology Innovation. On these research themes, he has made several dozen publications, including book chapters, journal articles and papers presented at national and international conferences.
