Last June 2, in Cordoba, Argentina, Pablo de Chiara, the Minister of Science and Technology of the Government of Argentina, Oscar Medina, Director of the Laboratory of Blockchain Technologies and Cryptomonedas of CIDS, and 17 representatives of 8 Ibero-American countries, formalized the creation of RIBCi - Iberoamerican Network of Blockchain and Cybersecurity, signing the protocol of creation of the network and approving its statutes. CEOS.PP is a founding member of this network and is represented by 6 of its researchers.
Despite being in a start-up phase, this network already has a project funded by the Iberoamerican Program of Science and Technology for Development (CYTED), in which CEOS.PP is a partner since the first moment.
In addition, the Minister of Science and Technology of the Government of Argentina in his speech clearly stated that, "We have a great future ahead of us. I am convinced that the work of this network will be very important and, for sure, we will soon add more actors and more projects".
CEOS.PP, coordinated by the researcher Ana Azevedo, and AJAP - Associação Portuguesa de Jovens Portugueses, represented by Firmino Cordeiro, are the Portuguese partners of RIBCi.
