The RETAILL project aims to develop innovative solutions to reduce food waste and promote a more efficient, sustainable and resilient supply chain. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Target 12.3, the project seeks to minimise food losses through the integration of advanced digital technologies.

The solution developed is based on a modular platform utilising the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), capable of monitoring and analysing data in real time to optimise logistics, improve food preservation and traceability, support surplus management and assess product life cycles.

RETAILL promotes greater coordination between the various stakeholders in the value chain, strengthening the competitiveness of producers, distributors and retailers, whilst helping to provide consumers with fresher, safer and higher-quality products. In this way, the project drives the adoption of innovative technological solutions that promote sustainability, operational efficiency and the circular economy in the agri-food sector.
