CEOS.PP takes part in the Science and Innovation 2026 Conference

CEOS.PP takes part in the Science and Innovation 2026 Conference, the first major event organised by the Agency for Research and Innovation (AI²), by presenting a scientific proposal that has been selected for inclusion in the conference’s official programme.

The proposal, developed by the research team comprising Rui Bertuzi, Cláudia Pereira, Elif Öztürk and Adalberto Fernandes, was chosen from among 189 shortlisted proposals, out of a total of more than 200 submissions, and will be presented and discussed at one of the event’s parallel sessions on 15 July.

The session will also feature representatives from two of the eight organisations co-authoring the proposal – Valongo Municipal Council and CASA (Centre for Support to the Homeless) – highlighting the collaborative and cross-sectoral nature of the initiative and the importance of coordination between research institutions, local authorities and civil society organisations.

CEOS.PP’s participation in this meeting reinforces its commitment to producing scientific knowledge geared towards society’s challenges and to developing innovative solutions, based on collaboration between academia and local partners.
