Hiring of two Doctoral Research Assistants

Adalberto Fernandes and Elif Göksu Öztürk are the new Assistant Researchers at CEOS.PP, in the area of Media and Communication and Computing and Information: Multimodal, Multilingual and Digital Communication, with an emphasis on the intersection of communication and technology, and in the area of Computer Science and Information, with an emphasis on Information Systems, respectively.

The hiring of new researchers took place under the FCT-TENURE programme contract (Ref. 2023.11412.TENURE.004) and began on 1 July 2025.

Adalberto holds a PhD in Philosophy, a Master's degree in Communication and Bioethics, and a Bachelor's degree in Communication. He is the author of 34 articles and book chapters, 20 presentations and co-editor of 1 book on: communication, media, journalism, science and health communication, political communication, censorship, biopolitics, bioethics, artificial intelligence, cinema, environment, tourism, art, critical discourse analysis, visual analysis, among others.

Elif Göksu Öztürk is a researcher at CEOS.PP and a guest assistant professor at ISCAP. She holds a PhD in Economics (2023) from the Faculty of Economics and Management of the University of Porto. She has published several articles in international academic journals. Her research interests are Development Economics, Applied Economics, Environmental Economics, Multi-Criteria Decision Making, and Operational Research.

CEOS.PP believes that the integration of assistant researchers represents an important scientific asset for our centre, contributing to the deepening of interdisciplinary research.
