From 29 June to 3 July 2026, ISCAP – P.PORTO is hosting the ENGood International Summer School, an intensive week of learning, collaboration and innovation that brings together students, academics and professionals from across Europe to explore how engineering can contribute to a more sustainable and socially responsible future.
Organised within the ENGood – Engineering for Good Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership, the Summer School reflects the project's mission of integrating social, environmental, economic and ethical perspectives into engineering education. The initiative aims to prepare future engineers to understand not only the technical aspects of innovation but also its broader impact on society.
Throughout the week, participants will engage in an interactive programme combining expert workshops, multidisciplinary teamwork, mentoring sessions and a real-world business challenge. Topics include inclusive design, artificial intelligence and its implications for engineering, project management for sustainability, ESG strategies, circular economy, and design thinking for tackling complex societal challenges.
Working in international teams, students will develop innovative solutions to a business challenge, supported by mentors from academia and industry, before presenting their proposals during the closing session. The programme also includes networking opportunities and cultural activities, allowing participants to experience Porto while strengthening intercultural collaboration.
The ENGood consortium, coordinated by Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), brings together partners from Belgium, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal and Spain, working to transform engineering education through multidisciplinary and socially engaged learning.
By hosting this international event, ISCAP reaffirms its commitment to innovative education, European cooperation and the development of graduates capable of addressing today's technological and societal challenges with responsibility, creativity and a global perspective.
