CEOS.PP at the European Researchers’ Night

On 25 September, CEOS.PP will take part in the European Researchers’ Night in Armamar, with a presentation focusing on projects developed by students and researchers in the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence and Analytics.

The event will be led by researchers Maria José Angélico Gonçalves and Célia Talma Gonçalves and will include the presentation of various projects through demonstration videos, showcasing different applications of these technologies in areas such as business, education, scientific research and the financial markets.

Among the projects presented is the “Artificial Intelligence Tools for the Commercial Sector” project, developed by Carlos Primavera and Beatriz de Carvalho as part of the Postgraduate Programme in AI Applied to Business at the Porto Executive Academy (PEA) and presented at the Sales Summit. Also to be presented is the project “Integrating Machine Learning and Business Intelligence for Student Dropout Prediction and Decision Support in Vocational Education”, developed by Guilherme Machado dos Santos, Maria José Angélico Gonçalves and Célia Talma Gonçalves, which explores the use of data and predictive models to help identify student dropouts in vocational education.

The session also includes the project “Business Intelligence Applied to Scientific Output”, by Sofia Duarte Barros Ferreira, Célia Talma Gonçalves and Maria José Angélico Gonçalves, focusing on the use of business intelligence tools in the analysis of scientific output, and the paper “Sentiment Analysis in the Context of the Stock Market”, developed by Rui Ribeiro, Célia Talma Gonçalves and Henrique Lopes Cardoso.

CEOS.PP will also be showcasing the Postgraduate Programme in Artificial Intelligence for Business, in a session dedicated to training and the skills required to use these technologies in a professional context.
