Over the past few years, CEOS.PP has been carrying out a research project in partnership with PERY – the Professional Education Research Institute at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in South Africa – focusing on the integration of students into the labour market through Work-Integrated Learning models. The initiative also involves collaboration with NUST – the Namibia University of Science and Technology – in Namibia.

This intercultural and transnational study, coordinated by researcher Chris Winberg in collaboration with Professor Shairn Hollis-Turner, analyses the integration of students on Marketing courses and is currently in the final phase of the study relating to students in the field of Human Resources.

As part of this project, Professor Shairn Hollis-Turner visited CEOS.PP between 8 and 11 June, with the aim of finalising the data analysis for the Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources and commencing data collection for the Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Administration.

During the visit, the researcher met with the director of the Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources at ISCAP, Ana Cláudia Rodrigues, the Business Simulation coordinator, Susana Bastos, and the internship coordinator for the Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Administration, Rui Bertuzi, strengthening the coordination between the teams involved in the project.
