CEOS.PP researchers at the Porto Trade Forum

ISCAP lecturers and CEOS.PP researchers Joaquim Pratas and Sílvia Faria have been invited to speak at the Porto 2026 Trade Forum, an event taking place on 19 and 20 May at the Alfândega do Porto.

The event will take place on 20 May, featuring a presentation entitled “Technology, AI and the Future of Local Retail: from the shop counter to customer relations”, which will focus on the impact of new technologies on traditional retail.
During the session, the researchers will address the role of Artificial Intelligence and digital maturity models in promoting the competitiveness of local retail, highlighting strategies and tools that can support retailers in adapting to current market challenges.
The presentation will also explore possible forms of collaboration between retailers in the city of Porto and academia, highlighting the services that ISCAP and CEOS.PP can develop in partnership with the business community. Among the topics to be highlighted will be projects related to Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality currently under development at ISCAP and CEOS.PP.
