CEOS.PP researchers conduct course on AI

Anabela Mesquita, Isabel Vieira and Maria João Castro, lecturers at ISCAP and researchers at CEOS.PP, teach a course on Artificial Intelligence, promoted by Vida Económica Business School, using a comprehensive, critical approach that is accessible to anyone who wants to understand and keep up with this technological revolution.

Distinguished by its modular structure and focus on real-world applicability, the course combines explanations of fundamental concepts, such as the distinction between AI, machine learning and neural networks, with an exploration of the main trends and associated risks, such as deepfakes, data privacy and the impact on employment. A critical and ethical perspective is one of the pillars of the course, promoting debate on the conscious use of AI.

The course, which begins on 12 September, consists of five modules. Participants will be exposed to concrete examples of AI applied to health, finance, education, industry and communication, as well as an introduction to tools such as ChatGPT and DALL·E.

All participants will receive the Practical Manual on Artificial Intelligence: Innovative Solutions for Digital Transformation, authored by CEOS.PP researchers.
