Cláudia Teixeira, a lecturer at ISCAP and a researcher at CEOS.PP, has been appointed to the Education Committee of the European Accounting Association (EAA) for the 2026–2029 term, thereby strengthening Portugal’s presence in leading international bodies in the field of accounting.

The lecturer has distinguished herself through her active involvement in the international academic community; she currently serves on the Editorial Review Board of the journal Accounting Education and is responsible for organising the international seminar series The ISCAP/IPP Accounting Webinar Series, an initiative that brings together researchers and experts from different countries.

Throughout her career, Cláudia Teixeira has collaborated with various prestigious research networks, including the Grudis – Accounting Research Network, the British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA) and the European Accounting Association itself, establishing a consistent presence in leading scientific forums.

The research carried out by the academic has focused, in particular, on the teaching of accounting, an area in which she has worked with internationally recognised researchers. At the same time, she has regularly participated as a guest speaker at conferences, seminars and workshops, addressing topics related to teaching methodologies and pedagogical innovation in the field of accounting.

Her appointment to the EAA’s Education Committee thus constitutes recognition of her academic and scientific career, whilst simultaneously helping to enhance the visibility of ISCAP and CEOS.PP within the European accounting research landscape. Her participation in this body will also enable her to further the debate on accounting education and promote the sharing of best practices at the highest level.

Founded in 1977, the European Accounting Association is one of the leading European academic associations in the field of accounting, promoting high-quality research, innovation in teaching and the link between academia and professional practice. The organisation has played a central role in developing research networks and liaising with European and international bodies involved in policy-making in this field.
